As you browse our website, you may notice some Members serve in several positions. These Members are extra special to MGMS for they fill areas many of us just can't seem to fit into our lives at this time. Their personal generosity of time and knowledge makes it possible for the rest of us to more fully enjoy MGMS.
The MGMS Chairs are composed of members willing to give more of themselves and their time to ensure the continued growth and success of MGMS.
Through their combined efforts, MGMS continues to blaze paths toward the future.

Description

Building Committee:
|
The Building Committee is dedicated to the expansion of MGMS properties.
|
|
Finance Committee:
|
The Fianance Committee oversees the finanacial status and develops ways to maintain and expand MGMS projects.
|
|
Librarian:
|
The Librarian is responsible for the indexing, maintenance, accessiblity, and accountability of MGMS' growing Library.
|
|
Newsletter Editor:
|
The Editor is responsible for publishing the most accurate data available about MGMS, members, friends, associates, affiliates, and events.
|
|
School Chairman:
|
The School Chairman maintains communications with the community schools, develops & presents educational programs for various grade levels.
|
|
Shop Chairman:
|
The Shop Chairman oversees the maintenance and needs of the MGMS Workshop.
|
|
2006 Show Chairs:
|
The Show Chairs oversee all phases of the upcoming shows, from dealers & displays to building arrangements plus community communications.
|
|
Social Chairs:
|
The Social Chairs oversee the social functions MGMS presents 2 to 3 times annually in addition to arranging refreshments for the meetings throughout the year.

Sunshine Chair:
|
The Sunshine Chair maintains contact with ailing members, friends, and associates then updates the other club members about their progress.
|
|
Scholarship Chairs:
|
The Scholarship Chairs oversee the distribution & awarding of MGMS Scholarships.

MGMS Liaisons
|
|
Field Trips:
|
The Field Trips Liaison arranges rock hunts (and other adventures) for members, many of which are not open to the general public.
|
|
Club Liaison:
|
The Club Liaisons develops and maintains relationships with other similar entities, including (but not limited to) museums, communities, and schools.
|
Petroleum Museum
Liaison:
|
Petroleum Museum Liaison maintains communications with the Museum, projects / programs with the museum and assist with some of the museum's needs.
